To transmute is to change in nature or form; alter in essence (Webster). In alchemy, transmutation is the supposed change of a baser metal into another of greater value. Ancient alchemists reputedly tried to transmute Lead into Gold through secret chemical processes in their hideouts.
But for Man and his thoughts, Mind is the crucible in which the alchemy of energy transmutation takes place. It is in the Mind of man that one type of thought energy or desire transmutes into another. Through conscious Mind action - focus and intent -man can restructure and project mental energy forms to yield forth their physical equivalents.
