At the end of every outing, be it for job or journey, we come Home. Home is that special sheltered space in which we feel welcomed, relaxed, safe and secure. Home is where relationships are nurtured, children grow up, and families are built.

The ideal sacred Home is a sanctuary of Love, Peace, Joy and Security - that protects and caters for the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of the family. Couples in truly sacred relationships will naturally create ideal sacred Homes.

A sacred home will usually reflects the level of spirituality and enlightenment of its owner; and this you can discerned from observing a few aspects of the home.

Approach: The entry or gateway marks an important transition from the outside world into a sacred home. Notice the naturalness, the warmth, the beautiful plants and flowers, the birds tweeting, the spiritual signs and symbols, the relaxed atmosphere and feel-at-home ambience that resonates with your soul, and makes you want to stay.

Interior: What do you see as you step into a sacred home? Notice the well organised space, simply but tastefully decorated; and with few well selected artworks and items of personal symbolism placed at the right places. Notice the well designed furniture that keep you warm and comfortable, and integrates with everything else, to make you feel relaxed and at home.

Sound: What types of sounds or noises greet you as you step into a sacred home? Is the home serene, quiet and peaceful? Is the ambient sound level below average? Do you hear happy voices of children playing and laughing? Do you appreciate the almost imperceptible soul stirring music oozing from nowhere, but permeating every space and which makes you feel you belong here?

Smell: What types of aromas greet you as you enter a sacred home? Is the air fresh and clean? Can you perceive the elusive natural fragrances of fresh flowers? Are you relaxed and energised by the soothing aromas of sacred oils and essences that welcome you?

The Alter: A sacred home will usually have a dedicated spiritual space for individual or family prayers, meditation, worship and communion with God. This may be a special room or a specific part of the home dedicated just for spiritual activities of the family; and furnished and decorated to reflect that purpose.

Sacred Couples are divinely guided from within, to create sacred homes that are not only fortresses of Love, Peace and Joy, but sanctuaries for spiritual growth and fulfilment as well; both for themselves and their children.

Your sacred home should reflect and attest to your inner spirituality and relationship with the Infinite. For it is said that "as within so without". Namaste!
